This is episode 78 and today I’m here with Amy Lang talking about Sexuality.

Amy Lang, MA has been a sexual health educator for over 25 years. With her lively, engaging and down-to-earth style she helps parents become comfortable and confident talking to their kids. Amy’s books, online solutions center and podcast, show parents they really can become their kids’ go-to birds and bees source.

Amy is still married to her first husband and they are getting the hang of parenting their recently launched man-child. She lives in Seattle WA.

Baggage: We give recommendations for how parents can prepare themselves for having conversations about sex with their kids?

Nudity: We share how we handled nudity in our houses.

Masturbation: We go over how we can respond to masturbation with supportive guidance (and not shame).

Menstruation: We walk through how to explain menstruation to our curious children.

Babies: We cover how to answer the question, “Where do babies come from?” simply and honestly.

Boundaries: We discuss what boundaries are good to equip our children with to keep them safe from sexual harm.

Teens: We share how we can support our teens in developing a safe, healthy, and enjoyable sex life.

Abortion: We cover how we can talk to our kids about abortion.

We answer the question: “How do we talk about the sexual life we have with our partner when our child shows curiosity around it?”

I work from an island in the Pacific Northwest, where I live wild and free in connection with my hilarious husband and three growing sailors in our fixer upper on the beach. I authentically live this healing work out loud raising my own neurodivergent family (inner child included) and draw on my decades of education and experience (I've done all the nerdy work so you don't have to) to guide a revolution of overwhelmed parents just like you to feeling at peace within yourself, consciously connected with your children, embraced by a supportive community, and enjoying a values-aligned life you love.
