The program for gentle mothers to heal, learn, and grow out of anxiety and overwhelm and into connection and confidence.
If you begin your day with a whole-hearted intention for peace but get lost in each day’s triggers, you need a map.
When I became a mother, I knew well all I didn’t want to do. Finding the path toward who I did want to be as a mother to my children was much less clear. Even with a stack of degrees in what essentially amounted to motherhood, it’s hard to be what you can’t see. It’s hard to apply the pieces you pick up along the way without the whole picture.
After decades of raising my own three children and supporting thousands of gentle parenting families around the world, I have identified five essential elements that foster the peaceful state you crave within yourself, your relationships, and your world.
Do you struggle to show up as the mother you long to be?
Chapter 3 is needs, where we learn how to honor true needs effectively and sustainably.
Chapter 2 is connection, where we learn all about how to sustain a nourishing connection with ourselves, our children, among siblings, our partner, our extended family, and even our community.
Chapter 1 is acceptance, where we learn all about how to accept our people, our thoughts, our feelings, our states, our bodies . . . everything you need to transform your relationship with anxiety and nurture a peaceful home within yourself lives here.
Chapter 5 is boundaries, where we learn how to establish essential boundaries that create a felt sense of safety and comfort, but within a culture of freedom and agreements.
Chapter 4 is collaboration, where we learn how to come alongside our children as allies, navigating challenges in respectful and creative partnership.

. . . who wants to learn how to raise kind, capable, strong and thoughtful adults, while also living a wonderfully fulfilling life in which my needs are met too. This is not just a parenting course, this is a course on how to live in harmony with all of your people. It is the deeper work behind the gentle parenting scripts people post on social media that can give you inspiration but often leave you feeling lost in knowing how to authentically get there. Rachel gives such a beautiful balance of accepting everyone right where they are and guiding them to where they want to be, with no judgement or pressure, just loving support. I honestly believe that if everyone took this course, we could achieve world peace!"
"This course is everything my heart has been longing for as a mother . . .
Yes, I have access to the tools I need to do the inner work needed to show up for my people in a way that aligns with my values. Yes, I understand what it means to show up for myself with the care and love I am so deeply worthy of. Yes, I believe that I can "gentle human" in a way that affects meaningful change within the broader community I find myself in."
"After working through the course material (which had me laughing out loud at some times and crying rivers of tears at others), I feel a calm confidence that says 'YES! I can totally do this!'
I work from an island in the Pacific Northwest, where I live wild and free in connection with my hilarious husband and three growing sailors in our fixer upper on the beach. I authentically live this healing work out loud raising my own neurodivergent family (inner child included) and draw on my decades of education and experience (I've done all the nerdy work so you don't have to) to guide a revolution of overwhelmed parents just like you to feeling at peace within yourself, consciously connected with your children, embraced by a supportive community, and enjoying a values-aligned life you love.
Yes! Sage Mothering is 25% off the first week of November (just once a year).
My professional and personal experience is that in our present culture there is a unique life experience that is specific to anyone who identifies as a mother. This course is speaking to that brutiful (brutal + beautiful) experience.
It is self-paced with lifetime access. This means that you can move through the lessons whenever works for you, at the pace that feels right you, and you can revisit the content whenever if feels helpful for you, for as long as the class is up and running.
The answer to this question is an enthusiastic yes. While this course is helpful for families anywhere along the spectrum of mothering experience, it is callibrated for those of us mothering at a higher degree of difficulty.
This course supports the entire journey of motherhood, including examples from infancy to young adulthood. The work we do that allows us to show up differently for our children is actually universal to all human connection (crazy, right?). What helps you parent a toddler better also helps your relationship with a teenager and a partner and on it goes.
